In a ceremony, the prize "Bergischer Ausbildungspreis" in category “Companies with 51 to 250 employees“ was awarded to the IKS Klingelnberg GmbH Company in the monastery church in Lennep yesterday.

In his opening speech, Lothar Krebs, mayor of Remscheid, said that the prize went to companies which did not merely train but rather attached great importance to training.

Lehmkühler thanked the company management for the funds which are made available for training purposes at IKS K every year and the trainers who ensure high-quality training with a long-term effect by their outstanding commitment.

Jörg Wengenroth, who is responsible for the Division Wood of the IKS Klingelnberg Group, is quite satisfied with the course and the results of the fair. “The trade fair was a great success for us. We were pleased to find a high quality and an unprecedented number of visitors at our booth. For the most part, our visitors came from the saw mill industry, followed by visitors from the veneer industry as well as the energy and plywood range. Regarding the main markets, Germany, Austria, Finland, Russia, and the Baltic States have clearly crystallized. Ligna is simply the best platform for us where we can show our innovations and highlights to an international audience.“
Jörg Wengenroth would like to thank all visitors for their great interest and the very positive and pleasant conversations.

LIGNA HANNOVER provides added momentum for industry upswing

During the five-day run of the fair, some 1,765 exhibitors from 52 nations showcased their products and services on total display space of 130,000 square meters.
LIGNA HANNOVER 2011 attracted a total of 90,000 visitors – an increase of 13 percent over the previous event. Reduced Lateral Runout of IKS Klingelnberg Log Saw Blades

When manufacturing machines knives, various tolerances need to be considered, e.g. the so-called lateral runout. This tolerance indicates the lateral movement of a rotating circular knife.
Manufacturers of Log Saw machines tolerate a maximum lateral runout of 0.2 mm for the log saw blade with a diameter of 610 mm.
This means that the blade moves at the outer diameter during a full revolution max. 0.2 mm from the right to the left side.
The IKS Klingelnberg Group manufactures log saw blades with a diameter of 610 mm with a max. lateral runout of 0.15 mm, 25 % less than the required tolerance of the OEM. Log Saw blades with bigger diameters (up to 1,200 mm) are also manufactured below the OEM tolerance.
The lateral runout and other tolerances are checked on the sharpening machine and if a blade is measured within all required tolerances a laser device engraves them on the blade. Blades which exceed one of the tolerances are rejected and need to be reworked.
Accordingly, IKS Klingelnberg guarantees that each supplied Log Saw blade keeps the tolerance which is below the OEM tolerance.
